Friday, July 12 at 8:15pm BAR HARBOR MUSIC FESTIVAL OPERA THEATER LE NOZZE DI FIGARO
By Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart The Historic Criterion TheaterOne of the greatest operas
ever written, The Marriage of Figaro is a witty, yet profound tale of love, revenge and forgiveness. The illustrious Figaro is now in the employ of the philandering Count
Almaviva. The tables have turned and Figaro's bride-to-be Susanna is the apple of the Count's eye. The Countess Rosina conspires with the two servants to expose and
embarrass the cunning, skirt-chasing Count and defeat the droit du seigneur. Set in Spain, this continuation of The Barber of Seville focuses on the debauchery that
unfolds during a single "day of madness" in this grand folly of aristocratic courtship. This sparkling comic opera combines Mozart's brilliant lyrical writing with
dramatic depth and intrigue. An evening of opera not to be missed.

Angela Maninno: Susanna Danielle Pastin: Contessa Almaviva
