A beautiful gypsy seduces a naïve soldier.  Her interest fades as his obsession grows.  Love and death collide from their first fateful meeting to their final showdown.  Watch as their passionate and deadly romance unfolds in this sultry and seductive opera classic.

Carmen has bewitched audiences since it's premier in 1875.  Though it shocked Paris audiences with it's exotic setting and musical language, the opera quickly became a favorite the world over. The pulsating score is full of gypsy rhythms and some of opera's most memorable tunes-from the Habanera to the Toreador song.  Join us for a fiery evening at the opera with the original femme fatal.

"In the title role of Carmen, Fenlon Lamb . . . a singer with a wonderful resonant voice that packs plenty of punch in all the right places in the score."
